Intended outcome vs emergent phenomena? Just follow the money. For over a century, the tax-exempt foundations including Rockefeller, Carnegie and Ford have poured gobs of money into 'reforming' education to warp it into the factory schooling model; into promoting a warped version of feminism, which incited resentment between the sexes and drove many men to be ashamed of their own masculinity (and hence more easily domesticable); into research which essentially weaponised psychology as a means of gaining control over human beings; and into seeding the drug culture of the 1960s, which made a whole generation weak, lazy and self-obsessed (and also made them terrible parents whose children are even weaker, lazier and more self-obsessed).
Even with such a clear money trail, and robust documentation of intent to weaponise psychology, drugs, culture, it is still a massive leap from giving Charles Manson legal immunity to intentionally injuring billions. Even if i think the evidence is quite strong, how can so many be so evil?
There is also the suggestion that those parents who 'weakened' children by having them focus inward, not toward wealth or power, slowed the march of materialism and assisted the good parts of globalism - such as reduced tribalism and more empathy for the 'other' groups. It is one explanation for the war on drugs and so much restriction on (civilian) psychoactive drug research - hippies, especially self absorbed ones, have far less tolerance for warmongering BS.
Those hippies weren't opposed to war for very long; look how easily most of them were duped into following the Obamessiah, who launched more wars and dropped more bombs than Baby Bush.
As for how many can be so evil, James Lindsay has a perspective on this that I'm finding more and more compelling: these people are inducted into a cult: https://youtu.be/P0M7tE3T42w
This is a rabbit hole you'll find it hard to climb back out of! The Sovereign Nations channel has many, many hours of viewing which I'm only just beginning to delve into. Thankfully, Americans speak so slowly that I can watch it at 1.5 speed without missing anything.
Whether deliberate or not perhaps doesn't really matter. A bit like the nuke coming, ("sorry, I launched it by mistake.") :)
It appears to me that for western society, this generation has lost its capacity to suffer. i.e. "soft". Perhaps a silver lining is that it might backfire ?
Nice article. Thank you. I have come to understand that the scientific advancements during the 19th century regarding human psychology accelerated mass society development by weaponizing the individuals mind against themselves. These tools were added to the social engineers toolkit at the turn of the 20th century. One facilitator was public education and the capute and rise of "associations" effectively restructuring intelligencia. This can be clearly demonstrated in Thompson's "The deliberate dumbing down of America." A few generations later, coupled with rise of the computer age and easier access to a citizens attention, centralized narrative, economic and cultural management has become increasingly more predictable. ( Not to mention controllable.. as you said nudges)
Predictably is the essence of domestication. I made the posit in a work of mine back in 2019 ( pre covid) that the human species is clinically domesticated. I am glad to see there is a growing number of people, especially some who have a platform, mentioning it. Too often people push back because it does not look the same as other domestication... but it wouldn't. We do not have the same cerebral architecture as cattle, and we have free will that must be manipulated. However, our body is still animalistic and can be hacked... and it has been. I imagine we won't hear it seriously discussed too often publicly because that would mean one would have to admit our individual agency has been subverted without our knowledge or consent. I imagine that is not a conversation they want people having before something like Neuralink shows up, with the ability to bypass our choices all together.
Still cleaning up the page as I write more, guess I do have both names listed. Still playing around with what I am trying to do.
Mostly I just read, so many things to learn. Looking forward to reading more of yours, just only have so much time.
As far as the article you shared, seems right. Couple the intellectual handicap with a general expanding infantilization of society and you have a population primed for mediocrity and dependence.
Its a bit chicken-and-egg in some respects. I wonder if the maskists who are still wearing the wretched things do so because they are already stupid, or has the mask-wearing made them stupid?
I see mask wearers as victims (and inflictors) of torture, though it makes their mask wearing no less stupid. People would wear them without the pressure or the fraudulent claims though.
When I lived in Japan a decade ago, there was almost no pressure to wear a mask. The people who chose to wear one did so to indicate to others that they were sick - it is a polite obsessed society. Everyone talked about how there was ample research to show it did nothing to help, plus they had the evidence of their own experience. People had worn masks for years and it did nothing for colds and flu. There were still one or two per train carriage wearing one.

Ta, i'll watch it. I'm pre persuaded about the cult, anyhow...

Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. And, weak men create hard times.

Whether A. Apothecary or The Apothecary, i remain a huge fan!
If hacking is easier with lower IQ, and associations are captured, this trend would certainly fit:

I finally cleaned the name up, I put a pen name instead of my page name twice. Thanks for pointing that out to me, I didn't look at that prior.

Your reflections are as always informative, wide ranging and stimulating, thank you Shane.
