We all have that crazy friend or relative who dove a little too far down the rabbit hole recently. Most of us ridiculed or dismissed them as is recommended, however a few kind souls have taken it upon themselves to bring the lost back into the fold.
If you feel brave enough to engage these lunatics in discussion, here are some tips and tricks to go in prepared.
Politics
The radicalised believe that arbitrary dictates on how citizens live their life, without checks and balances from systems of law is a dictatorship. They will claim that emergency powers based on fraud have traditionally been the mechanism for dictators to assume and retain power.
Your role will be to kindly explain to them that this is just an opinion, not a universally accepted definition. You can then explain to them how impolite it is to talk politics, and whammo - you have refuted their position according to post-2019 laws of logic.
Should they continue to maintian their stance, and if you still have the patience, you might then go on to explain in more detail:
North Korea is an authoritarian regime which calls itself a Democratic Republic. Their unelected leader silences opposition, persecutes dissidents, indoctrinates, forbids free movement of people, uses torture and psychological warfare, weaponises starvation, commits war crimes, imprisons the population and punishes family members for the ‘sins of their kin’. The government claims they do this for the good of their people, but this is not true, they are doing it for money, control and power.
In ‘the west’ (eg. Australia, Canada, U.S.A, U.K.) this could never happen! Sure, unelected leaders silence opposition, persecute dissidents, indoctrinate, forbid free movement of people, use torture and psychological warfare, weaponise starvation, commit war crimes, imprison the population and punish family members for the ‘sins of their kin’. The government claims they do this for the good of their people, but this time it really is true. There is no increase in wealth, control or power to the establishments of these countries, they truly are doing it for your good. Following up on easily verifiable reports of trillions of dollars transferred to the wealthy elite recently are not relevant here.
Religion
The crazies often confuse Religion - The belief in a superhuman controlling power or a pursuit filled with great devotion - with the Covid response, which attributed superhuman powers to previously fallible organisations and institutions, then blindly devoted itself to lockdowns, vaccines and other measures which could never have worked.
This one is a bit tricky to explain to them. Of course we know that there was a magic virus which was in the population for a long time, but only became a pandemic when the media labelled it as so. It needed fraudulent tests to identify it, obviously. The magic virus clearly came from a magic animal which left no trace of the mutations which led to it’s naturally occurring incarnated form that happened to be exactly what was being researched under unsafe conditions at a bioweapon / gain of function research facility in the most corrupt country on earth, where their pet inspectors still maintained that safety breaches were inevitable, and where the people funding the research were the same ones who gained the most from it’s existence.
We know, because we have seen with our own eyes, that this virus is respiratory, and that it grows and shrinks to match the size of the fibres of whatever symbol of oppression one chooses to wear on their face. It cannot ever be nebulised. It also understands that someone standing next to your shoulder is not a potential host, but someone standing less than 1.5 or 2m (it understands geographic political and cultural nuances) in front or behind you is a valid potential host. The magic virus will never transmit while eating or drinking, unless one makes the obvious mistake of eating and drinking without a means of inhibiting normal respiratory function worn upon arrival or departure from the eating place. It has a delayed response to make people with graphene oxide in their arm practically immortal from any cause at all, unless accurate definitions are used, in which case it overwhelmingly reduces their health vs any other target.
But how does one prove these obvious points to people so deluded as to believe that this magic respiratory virus is not also transmitted via skin contact, or that it is the weaponisation of a normal flu season?
Our task is made even trickier because our target audience is particularly immune to normal persuasion methods such as repeating propaganda style absurdities like “Masking keeps us all safe”, or simply refusing to acknowledge hypocrisies.
Fear not, however. The solution lies in the very history of religion itself. It is simply not necessary for people to believe in or have the same faith in the superhuman Covid Response that you do. All one needs to do is make life miserable for the unbelievers. Persecute them. Discriminate and Censor them. It has worked for millenia and decades of market research, nudging, privacy invasions and manipulation techniques will make it even easier for you to repeat here and now. While you may not be able to claim these ones as converts, at least they will be out of the way. Religion sure is tricky, but it is the best way of using one Fundamental Human Right to undermine all the other Human Rights. If it can do that, it can help even the most stubborn of friends.
Science
Now that we have tackled why unquestioning faith in science is completely different to religious faith - because you’ll be attacked if you make the comparison, we can address the specifics of the scientific method. Conspiracy nuts will attempt to bamboozle you by claiming that modelling and predictions should match observations, that studies can be and regularly are corrupted, that whistleblowers are ever anything other than evil, selfish and greedy or that the scientific method is simply a means to limit human bias, rather than a source of ultimate truth, as long as it can be shaped to match the preferred narrative of those with the most money.
We’ll assume by now that the readily available tools have been exhausted, such as referring to completely biased ‘fact checkers’, or simply writing conclusions which bear no relation to the content of the study. Instead, you’ll need these magic words:
“We could throw studies at each other all day, but in the end it’s your opinion vs mine.”
We don’t know how this little gem absolves the bias in the studies which promote your view, precludes the requirement for you to even provide the studies you refer to, eliminates the need for your preferred ‘Science’ to have any predictive power, or magically counters any need for further investigation. We cannot explain to you how it turns objective, shared and verifiably non-ambiguous reality into opinions. It just does. Try it for yourself!
Health
Another tough one if you intend tackling it, is health. Of course people are not, and never will be naturally healthy. We don’t know how every other living organism manages it except those with our level of institutional corruption. Since they cannot observe it in nature, convincing people the truth of their inherent frailty will require a selection between two approaches.
If your conspiracy nut is not educated in basic Anatomy and Physiology
Then we suggest explaining to them that the human body is too complex for them to understand. It has trillions of potential interactions between structures, communication systems, genetic expressions, environmental pressures, time frames and abstract undefinables like consciousness or emotion. As such they should just trust anyone who claims to have mastered these interactions enough to profit from an intervention in them. Case closed.
If your conspiracy nut is educated in basic Anatomy and Physiology
You’ll need to make sure that you explain clearly to them that genetic experiments have always been ethical and successful, and that this time was no different. Unless they personally have an investment in these experiments, they should not use related knowledge to draw any conclusions. This technique may also be required for anyone with a basic knowledge of history, human nature, critical thinking, economics, etc.
Some of your more stubborn conspiracy theorists may try to compare their previous decades of life where there were loads of pathogens (including coronaviruses) navigated successfully without masks, lockdowns or genetic experiments. These people should be dissuaded from such false comparisons. We have all clearly been better off outsourcing our health to corrupt oligarchs. You’ll just have to get them to refer to the messaging of those oligarchs, rather than independent journalists, government databases, or their own experiences. Hey, we never said this would be easy, but you’d be surprised how many you can convince to do this if you just try.
Media
Our trusted corporate news has managed to attract sponsors who fit their high standards of ethics and morality. Most sponsorship money has come from large pharmaceutical companies, with an impeccable track record of managing to stay in business in a broken economic system, while always putting the individual’s health first. Alarmists claim that these advertisers have a track record of legal violations and fines to match the GDP (Gross Domestic Product) of a large country. This could not be further from the truth. You should explain to these theorists that such large violations would surely have appeared on the news if they were true, and since they have gone unreported, cannot be true. The logic is inescapable.
If this is not gaining traction, try using a different topic. Protests are an easily verifiable one. If someone claims there is civil unrest, point them to some official statistics brought to you by an unbiased source, which comfortingly gains it’s funding from the robber baron who corrupted healthcare over many decades. Any video or real life evidence they have that there have been massive worldwide protests consistently for 2.5 years should be assumed to have been doctored, or a hologram. You might also like to point out that those protests have also not appeared in the news, so cannot possibly have occurred.
Again, you may have to deal with recalcitrants who narrow their attack to specific news organisations, even hallowed members of the clergy, such as the BBC, fantastically claiming that the news itself might be biased. To prove that BBC provides a balanced worldview, try the following:
Visit the BBC website
Type in any of the following terms - ‘vaccine injury’, ‘vaccine side-effects’, ‘vaccine adverse events’, ‘studies on vaccine harms’
Thankfully, manipulation by careful omission and selection of exposure to concepts is not a thing, so you can keep reading the BBC without ever fearing ignorance of world changing developments. You’ll note that for the most part, there are zero entries on these search terms, proving that these conspiracy cultists are arguing about something which doesn’t even exist! Many of them, obviously influenced by conspiracy theories on the internet, took it to the extreme and faked death or serious injury in real life. Reporting it in the clever way which matches the whistleblower reports, censored doctors, and forced revelations of fraud the manufacturers tried to hide. Such devilishness also included a coordinated effort to flood government adverse event recording systems with fake reports - millions of them, which will make it hard to spot if we ever have a real adverse event to report!
While it may not be classy, you may need to pull rank on the obstinate few, who believe the BBC editor who also gets paid by the vaccine manufacturer could ever be challenged on any topic. That’s why he calls himself an expert, dummies. He would have told us if he had conflicts of interest, as would all media sources, politicians, health experts and religious leaders.
Putting things into perspective
At this point, we have given you insights into some warped minds, which was necessary to explain the tools used to help them. Some readers may be, at this point, questioning their own faith, so it is worthwhile reiterating some universal truths.
Politicians can be trusted. A majority voted for them in democracies that have always functioned flawlessly, and we have systems in place to ensure they represent their constituents fairly. Claims otherwise are false.
Your religious attachment to the magic virus, magic masks and magic forced treatments will be rewarded, but, as with all faith, may not be easy to maintain. Keep at it.
Modern medicine is the sole reason for your current level of health and it will not be taken away from you (unless you stop outsourcing it to profit driven multinational criminals).
Media is still the third leg of functioning democracies - independent, unbiased, with the same integrity it has always had.
Propaganda and indoctrination do not really exist these days, we just thought it was a snappy title.
Good luck with your de-indoctrination campaign. While of course you can be proud to attempt it, let’s not deny the bravery of those who also refuse to acknowledge this problem at all. To us, you are all heroes.
I have a sneaking suspicion that this guide was based on real-life experiences ;-).
